We’re hiring part-time cleaners

Beachy Keen Cleaning needs dependable cleaners for vacation rentals and homes in Mexico Beach, Port St. Joe, Cape San Blas, and nearby. This is 1099 independent-contractor work. You choose which days you work. Pay is per gig, not hourly.

Bring your own equipment and supplies. There is no boss looking over your shoulder. We will work with you so the house meets our standard. The catch is the clock: owners set the window — typically 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Eastern — and the house has to be guest-ready by then. Work follows the tourist calendar: plenty of houses in season, fewer in the off season.

  • Be your own boss
This is 1099 subcontractor work, not a W-2 job. You pick the days that work for you.
  • Paid per gig
Each house is a quoted job. We do not pay by the hour.
  • Seasonal work
Tourist season is busy. Off season is slower. This is not a full calendar every month of the year.
  • Your equipment and supplies
You bring what you need. Nobody is standing over your shoulder on site.
  • Finish in the owner’s window
Most vacation-rental turnovers run 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Eastern. All work must be completed in that window.
  • Drug test and background check
You must pass a drug test and a criminal-history background check. We hold keys to other people’s homes.
  • Liability insurance (preferred)
We prefer subcontractors who carry their own liability insurance. You can still apply without it.
  • Reliable transportation
Mexico Beach, Port St. Joe, Cape San Blas, and nearby. You have to get there when the house is on the calendar.
  • An eye for detail
Sand in the tracks, a missed trash can, a damp sheet — those are the job. We will work with you until the standard is clear.
